It’s almost Valentine’s Day. I’m not going to write a whole post about the whole 50 Shades of Grey thing because it’s all been said, probably much better than I could say it. So I’ll leave it at this: domestic abuse is not sexy. Glamorizing domestic violence is not ok.

You know what is sexy? When your husband stays up late to help set up for the Daddy Daughter Dance in the Parish Hall, even though his work day was 13 hours long, because he loves his three-year-old daughter more than life. I’m pretty sure when they get all dressed up tonight and leave for their big date, my heart will explode.

I made a little round up of posts I’ve written about marriage for your Valentinesy reading pleasure!

Amen, sister! I’ve about had it with 50 Shades. Admittedly, I’ve never read it…but from what I do know, it glamorizes everything that is wrong about the general public’s attitude towards sex. And relationships. I love your marriage posts – thank goodness there are still people out there who understand how amazing a marriage can be if you treat it – and each other – with the respect, care and thoughfulness each deserves.
