A Dance Mix to Start Your Morning

So here I am at almost 40 weeks, completely exhausted, uncomfortable, and so ready to have this baby. And each morning it gets harder to start the day. I figure there might be some other folks out there as the school year comes to an end that also need a little help getting their morning started, so I thought I’d do something a little out of the ordinary here at Carrots and share a morning dance mix with you. (I haven’t shared a mix since posting our Advent playlist). My kids love dancing to this music while Daniel and I cook breakfast. And the tunes give me a little boost to get my hugely pregnant self moving. I hope you enjoy some new tunes!

Disclaimer: I haven’t looked up lyrics or examined cover art or other songs/albums by these bands so I’m not vouching for their appropriateness for all audiences!

If you’re seeing this post in an email or a reader you may need to click over to the actual site for the Spotify playlist to show up below:

Thank you for reminding me about Spotify… seriously, I had forgotten about it. I had it on my work computer at my last job. So now it’s on my new work computer and your dance mix is going (though I’m not dancing… just in my head). I just started following you too!

Hope you’re dancing hard enough to induce some labor! πŸ˜‰

These are fantastic! My son loves Anna Sun. It’s his personal dance jam.

Try “Good Morning” by Mandisa and “Don’t Wake me up” by Chris Brown!:)

Spotify usually adds an “explicit lyrics” tag for naughty lyrics. I wouldn’t rely on it to say, play songs in church, but I do find it useful. Love your playlists–thanks!

Fun, thanks! I am having a rough time getting going this Monday morning, too.

I feel you with being almost done with a big belly and two tots. Let me assure you, having 3 children is not easy :)…BUT – it is FAR easier than being pregnant with two little ones. At least, it’s been the case for me. Newborns are the best, so I hope you have yours in your arms sooner rather than later! πŸ˜‰

That is good to hear! I always feel like newborn exhaustion is easier than pregnant exhaustion but…I guess it depends on the baby πŸ™‚

I love the idea of you getting crunk at 40 weeks with your kids during breakfast. Awesome! Haha. Really though, I enjoy you sharing with us the music you’re listening to. I copied your Advent playlist and listened to it constantly in December. Thanks! Feel free to share more music with us. πŸ™‚

OK! I have some more folksy/bluegrassy jams I was thinking of putting into a mix.
