The York by Elizabeth & Clarke Summer Box Review

Every so often, we chat fashion at Carrots. I hope it feels like going shopping with a friend, but not having to try on jeans….or leave your couch.

Heat index of 105 today here in central Texas! But it’s our first 100+ degree day so that’s pretty amazing for Waco. Summer has been beee-aaaa-uuuu-tiful so far and since the really bad heat is just starting to hit us, I’m not even upset about it. But it helps that I’ve got three white tops from Elizabeth & Clarke’s summer collection to get me through til cooler weather!

Don’t know what Elizabeth & Clarke is? It’s my favorite resource for beautiful tops that last. Basically it’s a subscription service for affordable designer-quality shirts that ships seasonally (every three months). You can choose to subscribe for 1, 2, or all 3 tops (but the price per top drops if you subscribe for 2 or 3). They mostly have basics in neutral colors, they offer full refunds on everything, and they care about ethical practices and fair wages for the production of their clothes.

And  I have a discount code for you! You can use CCARROTS10 at Elizabeth & Clarke to get 10% off your first box.

Ok, let’s do this:

The York by Elizabeth & Clarke Summer Box Review

Top: c/o Elizabeth & Clarke use CODE: CCARROTS10 for 10% off, Shorts:Stitch Fix, Sandals: used from ThredUP, Glasses: c/o Firmoo, Purse: used from ThredUP.

Item #1: The York. This one is super soft and has a great lining which I always appreciate with white tops. It’s simple but I love how the collar and cut outs make it fun.

And–important info for moms of young children who use your blouse as their personal napkin like mine do–it’s made with Unstainable® fabric (repels all water-, oil-, and alcohol-based stains)! So yes, you can actually wear it on a regular day and not just on date night.

Love these cut outs on the side!

My 4yo daughter’s take: “It looks good. It reminds me of the snow. And I know what snow looks like. It’s like little white balls and they fall from the sky.” (This child has never seen snow, so I think her snow experience is only from Frozen.)

And on to the next!

The Mercer by Elizabeth & Clarke Summer Box Review

Top: c/o Elizabeth & Clarke use CODE: CCARROTS10 for 10% off, Skirt: c/o LuLaRoe, Glasses: c/o Firmee, Shoes: Target 2014 (can’t believe they’re still alive), Olaf: Goldendoodle extraordinaire.

Item #2: The Mercer. It’s kinda hard to see in this photo, but this top has fun asymmetrical sleeves. It’s also 100% opaque which is lovely if you hate dealing with camisoles like me.

And this one is also unstainable! I like it tucked into skirts but it would also look cute over jeans. (Dog pictured is not unstainable.)

My 4yo daughter’s take: “That’s a good shirt. It reminds me of Olaf because it’s white like Olaf.”

The Halifax by Elizabeth & Clarke Summer Box Review

Top: c/o Elizabeth & Clarke use CODE: CCARROTS10 for 10% off , Jeans:used from ThredUP, Sandals: ancient history from Target

Item #3: The Halifax. I love the fit of this one but it’s not opaque so you do have to wear a camisole or something because it’s pretty see through. Also unstainable and I love the blue accent.

My 4yo daughter’s take: “The blue part reminds me of the sea.”

Thumbs up to the Summer Collection! So there you have it folks. And remember that if you want to try out Elizabeth & Clarke, you can use CCARROTS10 for a 10% discount!

While we’re talking about fashion, in case you missed it, one of my favorite companies, Stitch Fix is now offering plus size options! I’m so excited about this because for YEARS I’ve been recommending it to friends and been asked when the plus size options would be available. I’m so glad Stitch fix made it happen. Never tried Stitch Fix? Try it out here.
