Elizabeth & Clarke Summer Collection 2016 Review, The Caldwell

Every so often, we chat fashion at Carrots. I hope it feels like going shopping with a friend, but not having to try on jeans….or leave your couch.

Happy Friday! It’s hot in Texas. So hot. So terribly hot. It’s honestly been a somewhat mild summer until a couple of weeks ago and now we’re in the PLEASE LET US SURVIVE UNTIL SEPTEMBER phase of summer.

Not that I’m complaining. I’ll take heat over the cold any day. But let’s bring some fashion frivolity into play to help us make it through until fall! Today I’m sharing the Elizabeth & Clarke summer collection with special photographer, Benjamin Stewart, age 7. Because he really rocked the camera last time.

Tangent: I cannot believe those camp boots have survived this long. They have gotten some SERIOUS LOVE e’erday.

Sweet. Pea. Ok so Elizabeth & Clarke sent me a box of their summer collection. (And you can also check out their previous spring, winter, and fall collection.) I’m a fan. Elizabeth & Clarke is basically a subscription service for affordable designer-quality shirts that ships seasonally (every three months). They mostly have basics in neutral colors. And they offer full refunds on everything.

So here goes!

Elizabeth & Clarke Summer Collection 2016 Review, The Ash

Top: c/o Elizabeth & Clarke, Shorts: Stitch Fix, Necklace: thrifted, Shoes: Target

Sure, Benjamin cut off the very top of my head, but he got more of the outfit than he did in this shot:

LOL.

Item #1: The Ash. This shirt is SO comfy. And since I owned NO shirts with stripes and a white shirt like this with dark stripes is on every capsule wardrobe post ever, I’m excited to finally have one.

Benjamin’s Take: “It reminds me of the crooks in the LEGO City sets. Ya know, the guys who are trying to rob the banks.”

Top: c/o Elizabeth & Clarke, Jeans: Stitch Fix, Sandals: used from ThredUP, Glasses: c/o Firmoo, Necklace: thrifted

Item #2: The Cadwell. Like I said. It’s HOT. So I’ve been really loving this breezy linen piece. It’s hard to see the buttons in this image, but it has some little buttons right below the neckline.
Benjamin’s Take: “It looks like that white bird in Angry Birds.”

Elizabeth & Clarke Summer Collection 2016 Review, The Dalton Top

Top: c/o Elizabeth & Clarke, Pants: Stitch Fix, Sandals: used from ThredUP

Item #3: The Dalton. This is a fun top. It has some pretty draping, too. It’s dressy enough to wear with a pencil skirt, but I think the draping in the back (pictured below) would look really cute with some white jeans. I’m not quite bold enough to wear white jeans. And I have toddlers, so white stuff does NOT last long around here. But if I DID have white jeans. I’d totally style them with this top.

Benjamin’s’s Take: [Benjamin gave a description but then asked for it to be stricken from the record because he WASN’T QUITE SURE. Apparently, he took his commentary job very seriously.]

Seven-year-old boys are just the best.

So there you have it folks. What did you think of Elizabeth & Clarke?  Be sure to check out their lovely fall collection, too!

Disclosure: Review items from Elizabeth & Clarke were complimentary. Links to Stitch Fix and thredUp are referral links.

Super cute! And I have been looking for your glasses forever. Thanks for the Firmoo tip, but do you remember at all which pair exactly they are, or the brand? Thank you! <3
