Christy and I had so much fun talking about one of our favorite authors/theologians, Mr. G.K. Chesterton with our friend Michael J. Lichens on the podcast this week. Michael is the editor of Catholic Exchange and a fellow convert.

What you miss when you hear the podcast is the conversation we had before we started recording confessing our favorite early 2000s embarrassing music preferences. Here’s the highlights: I sang Dashboard Confessional and Christy admitted to her first date with now-husband Paul was a Juliana Theory concert. I still maintain that mewithoutYou is NOT an embarrassing music preference, Michael. Can’t change my mind.

Anyhow, we had a great time learning more about Chesterton from Michael and talking about a few of our favorite books.
4 Simple Steps to Stress-Free Homemaking

Oh! And I heard from a few of you yesterday that in my post about keeping the house clean while it’s on the market while homeschooling tiny, messy children there were some links that weren’t working. I shared about the awesome mini-course my friend Erin put together that has given me some life-saving tips about laundry mountain, dirty counters, and meal planning, but then you couldn’t access the course! I am SO sorry! Because the FREE course is only available for one week, the site got so much traffic that it was crashing. But they’ve fixed the technical problems and you should be able to get to Erin’s course without a problem today.

Get immediate access by signing up here or clicking the button below! It’s completely free and you just have to see how cute Erin is. I think she has a thicker southern accent than I do.

And you can even gain rewards, like a free Ultimate Homemaking Bundle from the sale beginning next Monday (including our newest ebook: More Feasts! Celebrating Saints and Seasons with Real Food Recipes)!

Again, I’m so sorry the site was down for you guys yesterday! Let me know if you have any trouble accessing today. 🙂

Now I’m going to spruce up the bathroom and get it show ready again because I got all caught up on laundry and dishes after Erin’s course…..except I think I’m allergic to cleaning the bathroom so…there’s that. No second cup of coffee until I’m done? That should be enough motivation.

If my husband dies before I do I’m going to marry GK Chesterton. Time and space notwithstanding.

I’m a little older than you are, so I will warn you now: sooner than you think, the bands you liked in school will start producing Christmas albums. Bands you’d NEVER peg for having any Christmas spirit. It’s bizarre.

And then you will know that you are officially too old to be cool.

    It’s coming. Just wait. 😉

I STILL listen to Dashboard Confessional. I have ALL of his CD’s. I may be one of the only people to know that he is just a he, unless he’s brought on some permanent band members! 😛 No judgement here, girl, and I am ALL over that GKC podcast!
