faveposts2014

Yesterday I shared the 10 most popular posts at Carrots from 2014. But, as always, some of MY favorite posts weren’t included. Because the funny thing about blogging is that you never know what’s going to strike a chord. Sometimes the piece I spent weeks mulling over and crafting falls flat while the spur of the moment post goes viral. If I’ve learned anything, it’s to just keep writing stuff that I’d want to read, because you really can’t control the response. So, here’s 10 posts that I loved writing…whether or not anyone loved reading them 😉

1. In Defense of Fanny Price: Why You Don’t Like Mansfield Park as Much as You Should

2. Seeing Through the Eyes of Love: Tiny Ballerinas and the Self-Image Battle

3. Dear Moms, Don’t Hate Yourself for Liking Social Media

4. An ABCs of Must Read Children’s Book Authors

5. When It Feels Like You’re Failing at Building Your Cathedral

6. We Are Still the Easter People

7. The Vulnerable Victory of True Love: The Sacred Heart, ABC’s Once Upon a Time, C.S. Lewis, and The Princess Bride

8. Let His Blood Be Upon Us and Upon Our Children

9. Harry Potter, Dumbledore’s Mercy, and the Triumph of the Holy Cross

10: Why Do We Still Love Jane Austen?

And before I sign off, have you been thinking about goals for the new year? After consuming enough processed sugar in the past month to make me feel crummy, I’m ready for a little kick in the pants to start out the new year right!

For two days only, our cookbook (and over $1000 of healthy living resources) will be available in a flash sale of The Ultimate Healthy Living Bundle for less than $30. So if you’re one of the folks who emailed me in despair after you missed the sale in September, here’s one last chance to grab your ebook bundle and bonuses!

Some of the books from this bundle have become staples in our kitchen this fall and I’m so glad they’re bringing it back before the new year. The sale goes live on Monday morning and disappears Tuesday night, so be sure to sign up to be notified so you don’t miss it! (Disappointed emails in my inbox because you missed the sale make me too sad, y’all!)

Check out the website to see all the details–and if you order the bundle through my author affiliate link, a percentage of the sale will benefit my family (AKA will go toward fixing the leak in our roof that revealed itself during the record-breaking storms this week. Ah, homeownership.) And we’ll send you a copy of our new book (I’ll explain all the details when the sale goes live on Monday!).

And I’ll be chatting goals for the New Year from my couch in my pajamas with a cup of sleepytime tea for Monday night’s Carrots FB party!

FBParty2

I think FB parties are a lot of fun and I always get the best ideas from y’all. So be sure to stop by, Dec 29th at 9:30 pm EST. There will be giveaway prizes to be won and we will chat at the speed of light!
