An Announcement! Get Your Podcast On!

Welcome to Carrots! I'm so glad you're here. This is where I share thoughts on liturgical living, faith, parenting, culture, and an extra dose of Jane Austen. You can sign up for my email newsletter here to stay in touch, or look me up on Instagram!

Welcome to Carrots! I'm so glad you're back. You can sign up for my email newsletter here to stay in touch, or look me up on Instagram!

So…I love listening to podcasts. I also love to talk. And I have a friend who loves to talk. Her name is Christy of Fountains of Home blogging fame and mother of many small Canadian children. And we started a podcast!

Fountains of Carrots

We want it to be something you can listen to while folding laundry, going on a run, driving around, or doing the dishes. Like having a fun chat with some friends.

We’re still learning and we’re rather silly. But so far, we’re having a blast. This week we posted our very first one, sharing a little bit about who we are and why we wanted to start the podcast and Daniel’s horrible podcast name ideas.

I had a cold and was losing my voice during this first attempt, so I think we improve when we get to Episode 2. But it’s a fun intro chat. In a two girlfriends being silly kinda way.

BUT, if you’re not into silliness, next week we get serious and interview the wonderful Jenny Uebbing, blogger at Mama Needs Coffee about Catholic teaching on sexuality, marriage, NFP, and all that jazz. So don’t write us off if we’re too ridiculous this time around. We can get down to business!

We have three more great interviews lined up with some amazing women, so stay tuned! (And if there’s something you’d like to hear us talk about, let us know!)

You can subscribe to the podcast through iTunes here, and Stitcher for Android devices.

And remember to listen to all episodes and for all the show notes, head to fountainsofcarrots.com .

Can’t wait to listen on my drive home tonight! Just FYI, in case anyone asks–you guys show up in the Podcast Republic app, if any other Android users use that. (I think it draws from iTunes somehow? I don’t know. It just works.)

Congratulations to you and Christy! I can’t wait to listen. I’d love to hear you talk about miscarriage/pregnancy loss from a Catholic perspective, if that’s not too heavy of a topic… But I’m sure you could’ve already guessed that.

Christy and I have already written that topic down on our list of future episode topics! It’s a wonderful idea, Mandi.

I’m in the middle of listening to Episode 1, and why did I wait so long to start listening to podcasts? I feel like I’m sitting down with friends, drinking tea, and listening to a great conversation! Wahoo for Fountains of Michaelmas!!

Thanks for keeping me company while I cleaned the kitchen late last night! So fun 🙂 I have to admit, while I do love the meaning behind the name Carrots for Michaelmas, I wondered if there was a hidden reference to Anne in the name “Carrots” 😉

When I first thought about changing the blog name a couple of years ago a reader said, “no, leave it! It makes me think of the Anne-girl!” And I was so glad 🙂

Just finished listening to your first podcast and it was a delight. I definitely had a “bloggers: they’re just like us!” moment and it was awesome. So nice to feel connected to other woman with similar interests and beliefs in this way! Can’t wait to sneak away for the second episode!
