good music monday

From the morning that started way too early (what happened to that awesome 6:30am wake up time baby Gwen? What’s so great about 5am?!), last night’s dinner dishes on the counter tops, and already losing my temper over messy bedrooms I definitely didn’t act like the mama I want to be.  But maybe I’m not the only one who wished they could have a re-do on Monday before 8am?

Here’s a little Spotify playlist of what we’re listening to, trying to turn the day around. Everything from new listens we’ve recently discovered to old favorites. Bluegrass, indie, pop and in-between. Enjoy! 🙂

(And you might have to click over to the actual site if you’re reading on a feed reader.)

What are you listening to lately?

These are some of my favorites of your posts! I used to be really into finding new music, but nowadays my time seems to slip by, so I appreciate others doing the music legwork.

Oh, I’m glad to hear that, Sarah! I used to be so up on new music, too and now I rely on much cooler friends to supply me with good music 😉

Thank you for sharing your very ‘real’ moment this morning . . . I work outside of the home and trying to get the girls to daycare this morning was terrible 🙁 Left baby’s milk on the counter and didn’t realize it until I left. Toddler was screaming and crying the entire car ride to our daycare. Baby spit up sometime in between all over her new onsie in the car and I just about lost it!! Thankful for new beginnings every day!!!

Ugh. Hate mornings like that! I struggle with changing my attitude to something resembling pleasantness once my grumpiness takes over from a rotten start. Maybe the afternoon will be better for us all! 😉

Great list! Got me smiling and tapping my toe. Especially liked Things are Better.

I love me some Nickel Creek. Just saw them live in May. Amazing! Just discovered The Last Bison. A folk/rock group made up of homeschoolers, ironically. Check them out!

I love them, too. Haven’t seen them live since high school! Haven’t heard of The Last Bison but I’ll check them out 😉

Loved this music! Yes, having a hard time now because I am in the middle of a move and my toddler is insanely sleep deprived. Lots of wrestling and calm down time. It makes me sad when he then doesn’t want to talk to me. But this will pass and your music helps a lot!

And also I prayed for you all the time I was listening! Hope it helped!
