Want 100% Beeswax Advent Candles? GIVEAWAY with Toadily Handmade Beeswax Candles

Did it just hit you that Advent is almost here? OK, good, because it just hit me, too. Haven’t ordered Advent candles yet? Well, you’re in luck. Because Toadily Handmade Beeswax Advent Candles is sponsoring a giveaway and offering one Make Your Own Advent Candle Kit to the lucky winner!

Toadily Handmade Beeswax Candles

For the past four years, I’ve bought my Advent candles from them because they are not only prettier than the run-of-the-mill set, but they’re made of 100% beeswax which is not only better for your home because there’s no nasty toxic ingredients, but they are also liturgically appropriate. Did you know that religious candles were always made of beeswax and candles used in Catholic churches are still supposed to be at least 51% beeswax? They burn purer and have that sweet beeswax scent and I can’t get enough of them. All I ever want for Christmas is books and beeswax candles in case anyone’s taking notes… 😉

Anyhow, since we’ve been ordering the Advent Candle Making Kit the past couple of years instead of the ready-made Advent candles, Benjamin gets to help me roll the beeswax sheets around the wick and it’s become a special tradition to make them together the night beforeAdvent begins.. Lucy can help this year, too! It’s very easy and, with guidance, young children can make them without difficulty. And the kit comes with enough beeswax sheets to make three sets of Advent candles, so you could have a little party and make them with two friends!

Toadily Handmade Beeswax Candles also makes handmade Advent candles, if you’re not interested in rolling the sheets yourself. They have some really fun products like their sushi candles and I love this detailed rose pillar which I want for St. Therese of Lisieux’s Day next year.

I can’t believe Advent is almost here! Crunch time for putting the finishing touches on our liturgical year book so we can get it out to you before the first recipe: St. Andrew’s Day (November 30th)!

Enter the giveaway in the rafflecopter widget below! (Only for Carrots reads in the United States for shipping reasons)

Disclosure: Toadily Handmade Beeswax Candles is a Carrots sponsor. I received a complimentary review set of the Advent Candle Making Kit. I only share about products I really love and all opinions are my own.

    Oh, man, I love the idea of making our own Advent candles! I just got married 11 days ago, and my husband and I have been talking for months (practically since we started going out together) about family traditions we want to start surrounding red-letter days of the calendar, name days, etc, and we were just talking about Advent the other day and how we can afford to get candles and a wreath on a seminarian’s budget. So I’d really love to win this giveaway. 🙂

    Our candles from last year are all melted down, so I think we will be getting some of these one way or another. c;

    I love these! I think making your own advent candles makes you more ‘invested’ in the celebration, so to speak…especially for children. “It’s time to light the candles that I made!” 🙂

    This kit is such a great idea! I have tradition (going on about 7 years now) with my mother, my aunt, my sister and her kids, and my cousin and her kids. We go to one of those paint-your-own pottery places on the weekend after Thanksgiving and paint Christmas ornaments, and one piece of a nativity set. I already sent an email to them with the link to Toadily and said that I want to add this to our ornament-painting day. And everyone agreed!

    I usually get something similar from Illuminated Ink, I had no idea there was anyone else out there offering something like this!
    My children love working with the beeswax and the connection to making the candles is such a lovely part of their Advent.

    Beeswax candles sound wonderful for Advent. I didn’t know the Catholic church had regulations for how much beeswax should be in them!
