FREE Mrs. Meyer's holiday sets!

So remember when I shared about how I’m sorely tempted to just SKIP RIGHT TO CHRISTMAS instead of savoring the season and preparing for Advent? Well, apparently I wasn’t alone. Many of you told me you’re in the same boat in this dumpster fire of a year. But I think we can do this, y’all. I think we can slow down, prepare our hearts, and have that joyful hope of Advent before rushing into Christmas.

I’ve managed not to bust out the Christmas carols just yet (although, yes, that was me in the milk aisle grabbing some egg nog yesterday. I would say I’m sorry, but I’m not. I stand by my decision to partake in nutmeg-y goodness).

So even though I’m not letting myself skip Advent, I think there are many ways to make these weeks before Christmas cozy without jumping the gun on the next liturgical season. Currently our seasonal decor is an explosion of pumpkins (the farm where my husband works had extras), we’re rocking my winter songs playlist, and I’m keeping our diffuser full of good smells like cinnamon bark, nutmeg, and pine and the kids love it.

Scent is, of course, a great way to make a home feel all cold-weathery and whatever that scandinavian word is that people are always talking about. So I’m thrilled that Mrs. Meyer’s is bringing back some of my favorite seasonal scents: peppermint, orange clove, and Iowa pine! I do not pretend to enjoy cleaning my house, but delicious scents from my favorite brands don’t hurt.

(psst! This isn’t my bathroom, but I would not say no to that claw foot tub.)

And you lovely readers can experience this magical Mrs. Meyer’s goodness for free with this Holiday Set from my friends at Grove Collaborative!

When you place your first order of $20 using my link, you’ll get:

  • Free Holiday Mrs. Meyer’s hand soap
  • Free Holiday Mrs. Meyer’s dish soap
  • Free Holiday Mrs. Meyer’s multi surface spray
  • Free Grove seasonal kitchen towel
  • Free Shipping & 60 Day VIP Trial

“But what if I’m already a Grove customer? Do I get anything special?” Don’t worry, friends, you do. Existing customers can click here to get a free set of Grove walnut scrubber sponges. Can confirm that they’re great because I use them for everything from wiping down my counters to scrubbing my bathtub.

Tangent: in fact, I started out my day yesterday scrubbing out my bathtub in preparation for a house guest and ended up deciding to scrape the aging paint off of the shower tiles. Who paints TILES?! Anyhow, I started out with white painted tiles and ended up six hours later with pink shiny tiles. Gwen jumped in to help while I took the above photo. And yes, I used a cheese knife. And yes, I am aware that’s not the proper tool but it worked so…all’s well that ends well?

This Grove kitchen towel is so pretty that I retired an inferior kitchen towel to the rag drawer because it couldn’t compete. If you aren’t familiar with Grove, they’re my favorite resource for natural household products like laundry detergent, paper towels, and toothpaste delivered to my doorstep on my schedule.

Once you submit your first Grove order using my link, you’ll also be signed up for the free 60 day VIP trial. For 60 days, you’ll save even more with free shipping, free gifts, price matching, exclusive sales and personal service — perfect if you’re trying to stretch your holiday budget!

I should warn you that last year, Mrs. Meyer’s seasonal scents sold out quickly. This offer is only available through Sunday November 19th or until the sets are gone, so don’t miss out! Here’s how it works:

  1. Sign up for Grove Collaborative here. You will receive the Holiday Set for free when you sign up! (I picked Orange Clove.)
  2. To receive this offer, your order needs to be a minimum of $20. Choose the combination of products and scents you love and receive your first box within a few days. My kids love the strawberry flavored Tom’s toothpaste and I’m a big fan of the Seventh Generation laundry detergent and dishwasher pods.
  3. You made it! Click Finish & Pay and place your order.

Enjoy your free seasonal goodies!

FYI!! Just so you know most people pain or seal old tile because of asbestos. Good luck with the shower project!
“Ceramic floor tiles that are being demolished, ground, sanded, or cut with a tile saw, if they are old enough to have been installed when asbestos was in common use in grout, tile bedding, or (in newer homes) thin set or tile mastic, could be hazardous and should be handled appropriately.”

Ah! Good to know. We’re not planning to demolish any of it, but we’ll be careful if we ever do! Apparently, it’s also a way to fool people into thinking they have a white bathroom when it’s actually pink.

This was perfectly timed – after convincing myself that I didn’t need to spend $20 on things I didn’t really need (I mean, I know you know), I remembered that I had just this morning resolved to buy reusable sandwich bags after running out of plastic ones. Problem solved, plus awesome holiday-scented goodies for free!!

(I picked all different scents, as I thought pine would be good for making things really seem clean, I like citrus when I wash dishes, and peppermint is nice for hand soap 🙂 )

This isn’t a they-keep-delivering-things kind of service unless you want it to be, is it? Just asking to make sure as I’m bad at keeping up with that kind of thing.

I autoship with them every month, but you aren’t committed to continue ordering with them for a certain length of time! You can cancel at any time AND the thing I love about them is they remind you several days in advance that your order is going to be processed so I never end up with stuff I don’t need that I happened to order last month. Does that make sense? tl;dr it’s a monthly service, but you can cancel at any time and they’ll alert you before setting up your next order.

That does make sense!! I figured it out eventually by looking through the FAQ which were quite illuminating 🙂 I got burned by Thrive Market and the fact that things weren’t explained up front, so I’m extra cautious now — but this one seems pretty easy to navigate.

Been following you for a while Haley but this is the first I’ve ever commented. Thanks for so much for the offer! I got all peppermint. 🙂 They also threw in a free glass spray bottle for me!

Thank you, Haley! I placed my first order today. I could not resist the deal. 🙂 Any idea how long it usually takes for the order to arrive? Looking forward to making my “house fair as [I] am able.” 🙂

A reader that ordered on Monday just sent me a picture of her order that has already arrived! So you’ll probably receive yours early next week. <3
