We’re halfway through the week, friends. And if your floors are as sticky as mine are, perhaps you need something inspiring to listen to while you mop?

Lucky for you, the wonderful Hallie Lord agreed to chat with Christy and I on the podcast this week and share some of her wisdom on love and marriage. You can hear her tips for surviving those rough patches of marriage and hear us squeal over her awesome love story with her husband, Dan.

In other news, you may have noticed things are a little quiet around here lately. I’m taking a little bit of a step back from the blog for the next few weeks. Nothing dramatic (and I’m not pregnant!) but I’ll probably just be around for This Week’s Miscellany and the podcast for a bit. I’m thinking that I’ll share in more detail with the Carrots newsletter subscribers, so if you want to sign up, you can do it here.

Hope y’all are having a lovely week and see you for TWM 😉

Haley, I was so excited listening to the podcast this week– to hear that you are considering a trip to Milledgeville! I’m a devoted carrots reader and I live in Milledgeville–I’m studying creative writing– I’m even taking an independent study on Flannery right now and could talk about her all day. Sooo I’ll email you:) (I meant to post this right away, earlier this week, but my one year old and the start of my semester pushed it back a bit!) I’m enjoying the podcast so much by the way!!

Oh, this was such a treat. I’m now two days past my due date with baby #6 and am so grumpy. Given that the last few days have been spent alternately yelling and crying, it felt sooooooooo good to laugh for a while instead. Thank you. Can’t wait for the next one.
