Kindred Spirits and Literary Fun (And Audrey Eclectic Giveaway)

Welcome to Carrots! I'm so glad you're here. This is where I share thoughts on liturgical living, faith, parenting, culture, and an extra dose of Jane Austen. You can sign up for my email newsletter here to stay in touch, or look me up on Instagram!

Welcome to Carrots! I'm so glad you're back. You can sign up for my email newsletter here to stay in touch, or look me up on Instagram!

I’m a bit bookish. It’s not a secret that I love all things Anne of Green Gables and all things Austen (yes, even Fanny Price). And no matter how many times I read Little Women, I will get all teary-eyed because it’s just so wonderful.  So when I saw an etsy shop with gorgeous original art and saw Anne and Diana’s familiar faces and the Dashwood sisters and Marmee and her four girls, I jumped for joy. And I couldn’t resist contacting the artist to see if I could share some of my favorite prints with you and do a giveaway!

Anne and Diana

This one is going up in “the girls” room. Anne! Diana! Lovely.

austenloverspostcards

And I plan to send one of these post cards to every friend I have in the world. Jane Austen post cards! Ahhh!

dashwoodsisters

I particularly love this print of the Dashwood sisters from Sense and Sensibility and I’d like to order one to put up in the girls room next to Anne and Di.

Madonnaofthebook

Heather, the talent behind Audrey Eclectic, even has a gorgeous print modeled after my favorite painting of all time: Botticelli’s Madonna of the Book. I think it’s safe to say we’re kindred spirits. Heather says “inspiration comes from literary classics, spooky tales from the past, the pioneering spirit, my home town, Scandinavia and other lands far away.”

I love the style and beauty of her work. I want every print!

So….get thyself to the rafflecopter below and enter to win an Audrey Eclectic folk art print of your choice. The giveaway will be open until Saturday night, April 5th at midnight EST.

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Disclosure: A big thanks to Heather of Audrey Eclectic for offering the giveaway prize and a complimentary review print! I was not otherwise compensated for this review. As always, I only share about products I love and would purchase myself.

You can follow Audrey Eclectic on twitter (@audreyeclectic), on facebook, or on Heather’s blog.

I love “Picking Dinner.” I think it would look excellent next to the door overlooking our garden! They are all beautiful!

My favorites are the ones that look the most “folksy” to me– especially “The Easter Tree” and “Thankful Harvest.”

I can’t decide between Little Women (because that’s one of my favorite scenes) or Anne Elliot because she’s my favorite heroine. Although the Easter Egg tree and Candlelight Prayers are also lovely.

Her work is really great though. I may have to use these for Christmas presents.

Ohh, I love them all! 🙂 Especially everything with nature, Thankful Harvest, Picking Dinner, The Witch`s Garden, The Bird Guardian, Woodland Madonna, Maple and Bittersweet… And everything with families… Still, Thankful Harvest stands out the most to me.
A wonderful find, thank you for sharing!

My goodness! How can you pick a favorite at the Audrey Eclectic shop? I loved the Witch’s Garden, and Gerda on her Deer, but I have a large soft spot for the Swedish St. Lucia – I used to dress just like that to serve my family cinnamon rolls on St. Lucia’s day 🙂

Beautiful! My daughter is named after a character in Anne of Avonlea (the movie not the book). One of the nurses in the delivery room even asked if that was where I got it from. Not too many people would know it.

I would love the Anne & Diana print or Madonna with book, but did not see them on her site.
