Happy Friday, dear ones! I hope your weekend is looking wonderful 🙂

Coming Up in the Liturgical Year: Today is the Feast of St. Peter and St. Paul!

In the Garden: So many beautiful tomatoes. We don’t really buy tomatoes from the grocery store so summertime is our one chance to cook with tomatoes and it’s such a treat!

8 Weeks to a Less Cluttered Home: Keeper of the Home (I started following this 40 Day long decluttering plan of only 30 minutes a day and I can’t believe how much stuff I’ve thrown out already after only tackling some kitchen drawers and cabinets.)

My Guide to Perfect Summer Reading: Fountains of Home (I love Christy’s recommendations. Yet another post showing me we must be kindred spirits.)

The Quotable Benjamin:

“Whoa! That’s enough for the neighbors!” (after I gave him a meager helping of honey for his cornbread.)
“That means, you gave me tooo muuuuuch! That’s what ‘enough for the neighbors means.”

“Why do you think the Little Red Hen wouldn’t share her bread with the other animals, Benjamin?”
“Well…because it probably had gluten and dairy in it and they might be allergic.”

Pictures Worth Sharing:

Bathtime play during Tropical Storm Debby when the wee ones couldn’t play outside for days and days…

Good fashion sense.

A couple of quick things: Apparently FB has changed the way you can view posts from pages in your news feed. If you want to stay updated with posts from Carrots, go to the Carrots FB page and hover the mouse over the “Like” button. A drop down menu will appear with the option “show in news feed.” Make sure that option is chosen. Thanks!

I recently found your blog and just wanted to say how much I enjoy it!

Also, the “8 weeks to a less cluttered home” sounds fantastic! I’m looking forward to trying it. Thanks for sharing. 🙂

Thank you so much, Lynn! I’m so glad you’re enjoying it.
We’ve only lived in this house for two years so I thought that there was no way I would be able to keep up with the “10 items a day” to throw or give away part of the decluttering but holy cow! I’ve already thrown away so much stuff!

You’re welcome, Christy! I just loved that post. Right now I’m still plugging away (in a delightful way) at Evelyn Waugh’s Sword of Honour trilogy. I’m in the second book, Officers and Gentlemen. I also just started a book about Praying with Icons by Jim Foster. And I’m sneaking in a little Redwall, too 🙂
