And the winner of the Our Lady of Guadalupe rosary giveaway is…….Sarah O.! Expect an email from Trendy Traditions, Sarah, about personalizing your rosary, etc.

Thanks, Trendy Traditions for a fantastic giveaway prize!

And watch for an awesome cloth diaper giveaway this week, friends. Along with a post about everything you ever wanted to know about cloth diapers. Well…maybe not everything. Is there anything in particular you want to know that I should be sure to cover?

At this time every year, I go a little nuts during spring recital time and Daniel picks up the slack. This weekend the dear man sent me off to get a cup of coffee, read, and write while he watched the kids (on two separate occasions).

I felt like the Queen of Sheba. I am still getting used to not having 7 month old Lucy as a constant appendage. She still hasn’t had a bottle, but now that she’s digging bananas and avocado I’m more comfortable leaving her for an hour here and there. I figure if she gets hungry, Daddy can console her with a mashed banana while I head home to feed her.

How was your weekend? Did you get a few minutes to relax?

Ooooh, cloth diapers! I’ve never used them but want to with new baby. So my two requests would be: 1) fleece inserts/liners. I’m still a little confused about those and 2) your washing procedure. Exciting!

Dwija, I don’t use fleece inserts/liners myself but I will ask my know-every-possible-thing-about-cloth-diapers resource friend and include the info in the post. And I’ll talk about my washing method, too 🙂

      Dwija –

I use fleece liners (both BumGenius + Bummis) at home and bamboo liners when out for my 2 year old. It helps keep the staining in the diapers to a minimum and also is easier to remove any solids. Basically it acts as the layer closest to kiddo’s bum. This has been a recent addition to our CDing, and I wish I’d started as soon as he was on solid food.

Ooooh yay! Thanks for awesome giveaways!

I always love hearing about others cloth diapering tales and trials. I’ve been cloth diapering now for nearly 2.5 years and love it!

did you like atomic coffee? I can’t remember if we talked about that as a nearby option for early morning coffee…I liked it, though it was a bit slow. but if you go early, and not during finals, it’s not super crowded.
