All Things Michaelmas!

September 29, 2011 By Haley 1 Comment

I LOVE the Feast of the Archangels. We've got a feast planned, but, I'm 38 weeks pregnant today on Michaelmas, so you never know if we'll be having a Michaelmas Baby instead of a Michaelmas Feast. Just in case I go into labor  and Michaelmas feasting gets skipped over this year, I thought I would compile some of the previous Michaelmas posts and some good resources I've found. What is … [Read more...]

Conversing with a Sleepy Two-Year-Old

September 14, 2011 By Haley 2 Comments

"I'm going to grow up to be a big man and drive a yellow grappler...and a green one, and a black one, and a forklift." "Are you going to live in a house?" "Yes, but a different house." "A house by yourself or with other people in it?" "With other people in it, probably." "What other people will live there?" "Mostly ballerinas." "Oh really? Are you going to marry a … [Read more...]

Birthday and Settling on a Baby Name!

September 8, 2011 By Haley 6 Comments

I'm awake at 4am with a little pregnancy insomnia, that pregnancy refluxy feeling, and after being awakened by what sounds like a crazy party at our backyard neighbors house (3:30 am...on a THURSDAY morning, people?!). Christian year related like Advent candles? Books? Put in your two cents. Today we're taking it easy while we get tons of rain from Tropical Storm Lee. So far it's just been light, soothing rain, but … [Read more...]

September 2011 Reads

September 3, 2011 By Haley 9 Comments

I'm trying to put my feet up and read and relax whenever I get the chance these days. I can tell that my body is already gearing up for Baby Lucy's arrival. On Thursday, after a 45 min. drive to GA, three hours of back-to-back teaching little ballerinas, and a 45 min. drive home, I started having TONS of Braxton-Hicks. I didn't get out a watch to time them but we estimated that they were lasting … [Read more...]

GIVEAWAY: Serenity Acres Farm Goat’s Milk Soap

September 1, 2011 By Haley 9 Comments

I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that I wanted to have a Giveaway once the blog reached 10,000 hits which it has (yay!). I was having a hard time thinking of what I wanted to give away but finally settled on something everybody uses: SOAP. Maybe not the most exciting giveaway ever, but more exciting than stamps, right? And this isn't just any soap, it's fantastic all-natural handmade goat's … [Read more...]
