With both the little gals having coughs and low fevers, this was what our week looked like.

photo 1-40

A lot of nursing, too much Netflix, not enough sleep, AND we just put our house on the market so TONS of cleaning/fixin’ up.

photo 2-37

But check out how it’s the cleanest it’s ever been! (AKA, we had photos taken for the listing and so finally were forced to clean up our junk.) Anyhow, since it will definitely NEVER be this clean again, I took some photos myself to remember this moment in time that will never be repeated and I thought I’d share them in a little House Tour Edition of the Carrots email newsletter this weekend. So sign up for the newsletter if you wanna check it out! (This is not the same as subscribing to Carrots blog posts via email. The newsletter has exclusive content not shared on the site.)

This girl is sweet even when she’s feeling under the weather. Pobrecita.

The Quotable Benjamin:

Lucy: “Gwen is eating like a barbarian!”
Benjamin: “Well, that’s the thing about babies. They’re just kind of like animals, Lucy. They don’t MEAN to be barbarians. But they just can’t help it.”

The Quotable Lucy:

This girl loves her ballerina bag.

Lucy (3 years): “What is THAT?!”
Me: “That’s an iron.”
Lucy: “A what? What do you do with it?”

Apparently I don’t iron much.

Podcast:

We had so much fun chatting with Heather Sleightholm of Audrey Eclectic about her amazing folk art, inspiration, religious art, and family!

You’re house looks beautiful, from what I can see. I am so jealous of Floida in February. 😉

Thanks, Amanda! It’s small but oh, so sweet. And yes….Florida gets spoiled in February 🙂

Ha ha! My iron is only out when I’m sewing – which is how I grew up, too! My poor family has put up with the iron and ironing board hanging out in our tiny dining room for about a month right now. I’m 8 months pregnant, and my nesting urges have been “must sew all the things” urges!

Haha! I’m jealous! My nesting urges usually just involve eating all the things. 😉 Good for you!

Before that house sells I need to sit at that table and have a cup of coffee with you. Just has to happen. It’s the law.

SERIOUSLY. I mean could she BE any cuter? I just want to wrap her up and put her in my pocket. Does that sound creepy? Well she’s just adorable and I love her style so much. And her hair. And her make up. And now I’m starting to sound super creepy, so I’ll stop 😉

That blogger!! She’s, like, the best of lolita-fashion, but practical. I love when women wear dresses and skirts, it’s so elegant.

I can’t tell Lucy and Gwen apart unless they’re in a photo together. I’ve noticed that this happens a lot to me with twins!

I know, I just love her! And Gwen looks a little more like Benjamin than Lucy does. G and B has the same little button nose. 😉

Haha, I got the same question when I pulled out my iron yesterday. I pretty much only iron when I sew, and I rarely do that when all the kids are up because hot things and pokey things. But I was working on an urgent project yesterday so… iron!
